Somewhere deep in the woods, a voice echoes
Sweet but hollow, looks like it's got nothing to say
Yet its beautiful, pleasant
I want to let it talk
I try harder to hear
But as I look up, farther I get
and more I look down, smoother it gets
Amid nothingness
my conversation with silence continues
Slowly the gates to the woods are all shut
And a little window to my soul reopens
Sweet but hollow, looks like it's got nothing to say
Yet its beautiful, pleasant
I want to let it talk
I try harder to hear
But as I look up, farther I get
and more I look down, smoother it gets
Amid nothingness
my conversation with silence continues
Slowly the gates to the woods are all shut
And a little window to my soul reopens
