'ME'

Sitting at my desk, usual as, it is...
A thought strikes my mind, intriguing as it seems...
What would life be if I was not ME...
How would it be, to not be ME.

In a different world, in a different league...
With a different set of people, a different species...
So much would be different, if I was not ME...
I wonder, how it would be, to not be ME.

Everybody says that they love being themselves...
Wonder how they truly feel in their own shells...
There are times I hate myself for being simply ME...
But I just can't imagine, how it would be, to not be ME.
